Ordinary Heroes: One Hundred Plus Years of Those Who Protected and Served Springfield and Greene County

Location: History Museum for Springfield Greene County, third floor of City Hall at 830 N. Boonville Ave.
Admission: Suggested donation of $3 for adults and $1 for Children
The exhibit will showcase the heroic men and women who have protected and served the citizens throughout Greene County’s history Springfield Police Department, the Springfield Fire Department, the Greene County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol will be featured. This exhibit will showcase the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of these departments.

Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, MO is working with multiple organizations, individuals, and businesses to complete SIX homes between March 1st and May 20th. This will ensure that those SIX families will be moved into their new homes before June 1! - - Habitat for Humanity has many avenues to help with the SIX BY SIX Challenge for individuals 16+ and we would love to have you join us. This project will only has a 1000 volunteer spots to be filled, spots are filling up quickly, so contact us to save your spot on this amazing set of builds! Admission: This event is free and open to the public. The Southwest Missouri Office on Aging requests that people bring spare change to help support its home-delivered meal program.
Care Improvement Plus invites Springfield-area seniors to the Health, Wellness and Safety Expo. Hosted by the Southwest Missouri Office on Aging, this event offers seniors a direct link to community resources that promote healthy, independent living for senior citizens, their families and caregivers. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive free health screenings including shingles vaccinations, cholesterol screenings and diabetes testing. Additionally, there will be live entertainment, a talent contest, cooking demonstrations, a safety seminar, foot clinic and free use of mobility devices.
