One of the most infamous scandals in financial history is transformed into a theatrical epic event. Mixing classical tragedy with savage comedy, the play follows a group of flawed men and women in a narrative of greed and loss that explores the tumultuous 1990s and casts new light on the financial turmoil in which the world now finds itself. Inspired by real-life events and using music, movement, projections, pop culture and pure theatricality, Enron captures the economic free-for-all that precipitated the collapse of the energy giant in the wake of the greatest white-collar crime in American history. "There is superb clarity in Prebble's story-telling as well as high drama...that brings the mysterious world of high finance to vivid, comprehensible life." - The Daily Telegraph. A Springfield area premiere. This production contains adult language and situations. -

Switchfoot's roots can be traced - back to the beaches of San Diego in the mid-'90s, when they connected as surfers. They decided to form a band and chose the name Switchfoot, a surfing term. After putting themselves through months of sweaty garage band workouts, they hit the road. After just 20 gigs, they signed a deal and released Legend of Chin in 1997, then released three more albums before making their major label debut in 2003. Switchfoot has released four more studio albums since that time, including the latest Vice Verses, which include the singles "Dark Horses" and "Restless." -

Nova Center of the Ozarks is sponsoring a Springfield Cardinals Baseball game Friday May 4, 2012 at 7pm to benefit its consumers. At Nova, we serve individuals diagnosed with a variety of developmental disabilities. Our goal as an agency is to help these individuals become active participants in their community and to obtain the highest quality of life possible. The individuals we care for live on a very limited income. There is very little money left over each month, from their benefits, after they pay their room and board. Because of this, many are limited as to what they can do in the community. Not everything is “free” when it comes to community activities. We use fundraisers like these to help those that have little family support and limited income so they can go to a movie, or just get to go out and eat on occasion. - Tickets are $8.00. All proceeds from the ticket sales go to benefit our consumers. Please contact Linda ant the Nova Office to purchase tickets or for more information. (417) 889-3121. - -

Red, White & Tuna takes us back to the tiny Texas town and into the hearts and minds of the polyster-clad citizens all played by two lightening-quick costume and wig changing actors. The town folks are busy with a trio of events: a 4th of July renunion and fireworks display, a wedding, and a pageant. Romantic mix-ups, the selection of a home-coming queen, a UFO sighting, hymns that need to be censored and some really bad potato salad set the stage for a show full of fireworks, side-splitting laughs and lots of fun.
