The exhibit will showcase the heroic men and women who have protected and served the citizens throughout Greene County’s history Springfield Police Department, the Springfield Fire Department, the Greene County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol will be featured. This exhibit will showcase the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of these departments.

Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, MO is working with multiple organizations, individuals, and businesses to complete SIX homes between March 1st and May 20th. This will ensure that those SIX families will be moved into their new homes before June 1! - - Habitat for Humanity has many avenues to help with the SIX BY SIX Challenge for individuals 16+ and we would love to have you join us. This project will only has a 1000 volunteer spots to be filled, spots are filling up quickly, so contact us to save your spot on this amazing set of builds! Reiki I & II Class

Reiki is a Japanese system for stress-reduction which also promotes healing. In this class you will learn how to treat yourself and others, including the traditional Japanese Reiki techniques and you'll learn the three Reiki II symbols. You will also get attuned to the subtle energy that makes this type of healing possible. Class manual is included in course fee.

Build wheelchair ramps and help people with disabilities! - The Southwest Center for Independent Living offers a program called Renovations and Modifications Projects (RAMPS). The program assists low income people with disabilities to complete home modifications to their homes so they can live safer and more independently. Today, RAMPS has nearly 100 people waiting for a wooden wheelchair ramp and whether you know how or want to learn, SCIL needs you to help them to continue to live independently. The Greater Springfield Farmers' Market, Battlefield Mall, April 21st offers you more great family fun with their April Farm to Feast Feature Chef cooking demonstration. Zio's Italian Kitchen's, Steven Rayl, is the featured chef for April. Chef Steven won 1st Place in the 2011 Harvest Soup Cook-Off fundraiser sponsored by Harvest On Wheels at the Greater Springfield Farmers' Market last Fall. - - Chef Steven will be selecting his fresh foods for his dish, Lemon Chicken Primavera, at the Market around 9:30 and start with his cooking demonstrations at 10:00. He will be preparing this dish several times from 10 till 1:00, showing a variety of ways to prepare the same dish, including a vegetarian version. Chef Steven enjoys a lot of back and forth conversation with people while he is cooking and will be happy to answer all of your cooking questions. He will be sharing his recipe with all at the market, or it can be picked up at Zio’s Italian Kitchen located at 1249 E. Kingsley. -
