The "Animals Wild About Art" painting project is an enrichment program for Dickerson Park Zoo's animals. While some paintings are paw prints and brush work, other paintings are skin prints done by zookeepers. A "People's Choice" award will also be given to the painting receiving the most votes during the exhibition. - -

Community Field Trips for RACE: Are We So Different? are being offered to bring families and community resources together for an exciting experience focused on the scientific, historical and contemporary experience of race and racism in the United States. Families and individuals from throughout the area can be part of this important community conversation at no cost through the generous contributions of many local sponsors. In addition to experiencing and exploring this nationally acclaimed exhibit, participants will be treated to light refreshments and be automatically entered to win a number of exciting door prizes. Participants will be requested to complete an anonymous pre and post tour survey. After completing the post tour survey, participants will be treated to complimentary snacks.Community Field Trips provide access to the RACE exhibit areas only. The remainder of Discovery Center will not be open. No Reservation required.

SAW. EXPO is the bi-annual meeting of the members of the Scrollsaw Association of the World, whereby SAW members can meet and join in discussions with the Board of Directors of SAW. This is an opportunity to learn more about the running of the Scrollsaw Association of the World and to participate in your association. But an EXPO is much more than meetings. Seminars and Demonstrations are given of some of the latest techniques in scrolling. Vendors from across the country join us and offer their goods to our membership. A huge Scrollsaw Contest is held with prizes that make the trip to EXPO a valuable experience.
