PechaKucha Night Vol. 7
Event Time:
Dates: Friday, August 03, 2012 - Friday, August 03, 2012
Location: LemonDrop
PechaKucha Night Vol. 7 will be on August 3, 2012 at LemonDrop starting at 8pm: Community members are invited to present on a topic of their choosing. This is for everyone - students, emerging professionals, and seasoned presenters. Presenting at PechaKucha Night is such a great way to brush up on your public speaking skills in a casual environment, learn something new about Springfield, and expand your network! Don't know what PechaKucha is all about? Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of “chit chatâ€, PechaKucha Night rests on a simple and concise presentation format that keeps ideas moving at a rapid pace. Presenters have 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide to present their material. That makes for 6 minutes and 40 seconds of edifying entertainment. Despite the stuffy “presentation†moniker, PechaKucha’s atmosphere is casual and lax. The idea is to come away from the event with a greater perspective and richer ideas, but most importantly, to enjoy oneself in the process. This is a free event. Beer and wine will be served, donations appreciated. This event is volunteer driven, founded by Klein Dytham Architecture, and hosted by LemonDrop.
