Splash n' Sizzle weekends at Park Board Outdoor Pools! Admission is $1 or free with donated canned food item for Ozarks Food Harvest. One special pool event for outdoor pool season in Springfield is the Splash Nâ€™ Sizzle weekends, which run 5:30 â€“ 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, July 1 â€“ 30 at Doling, Grant Beach, Silver Springs and Westport Pools. Fassnight and Meador Pools will be open from 5:30 â€“ 8 p.m. on Saturdays only for the Splash Nâ€™ Sizzle weekends.

Habitat for Humanity and Price Cutter Charity Championship are hosting Home Run, a 5K/10K and 1 mile Fun Run on August 4th, 2012, at 7 am at Highland Springs Country Club, rain or shine. Pre-registration is $20 for 5K/10K, $10 for 1 Mile Fun Run. Day of the event is $25 for 5K/10 and $15 for 1 mile Fun Run. Family option of $40 for a family of 5 or more. Awards will be given.
