First Friday Art Walk offers original art, live music, art demonstrations, food, fun and more in 27 participating venues. Enjoy the art, meet the artists and experience Springfield's favorite free arts event. Also, as part of the Art Walk, enjoy Art Walk Live! featuring art, live music, cocktail specials and a shuttle from University Plaza Hotel to Tag Media downtown.
The participating organizations include the Community Partnership, First Baptist Church of Springfield, Ozarks Regional YMCA, Rare Breed, Springfield-Greene County Park Board, Springfield Regional Arts Council, and the Urban Districts Alliance. They engaged youth in their programs to ask what types of activities they would like to attend downtown, which resulted in the following schedule:
The Bass Pro Fitness Festival is a series of not-for-profit events sponsored by Bass Pro and dedicated volunteers and sponsors. Proceeds from these events are shared by Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Ozark Greenways and Wonders of Wildlife. You can start your adventure by taking a half-mile tractor pulled wagon hayride from the shop to the concession area-pay close attention to the surroundings if it is still daylight, you may catch a glimpse of some roaming wildlife.
The Haunting begins on Friday, September 27th at dark. Then every Wed, Fri, Sat at dark until November 2nd! There are plenty of activities and concessions available so come and enjoy!
We are offering two separate attractions this year, one is "Trail of Fears" it is a traditional spook trail, fun for the whole family. "Zombies!" on the other hand is a intense attraction with the latest in special effects and offers a unique experience that you must see for yourself!
