Follow the Star, a Drive-thru Nativity

Glendale Christian Church is excited to have a live, drive-thru nativity. This is a unique and wonderful opportunity to celebrate the story of Jesus. The event includes: 11 different live scenes, live animals, free admission, free refreshments, and a free photo opportunity. Takes place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night.

Sweet Honey in the Rock

Internationally renowned a cappella ensemble SWEET HONEY IN THE ROCK joins us for WinterFest weekend at Hammons Hall, presenting a one-of-a-kind seasonal concert, celebrating music from many faiths and religions of the globe through stunning vocal prowess rooted in the rich textures of African American legacy and traditions. With American spirituals, Latin, Chinese, African and Hebrew influences, this program honors the holiday spirit from Christmas to Kwanzaa. The repertoire includes traditional holiday standards such as “Go Tell It On The Mountain”, “This Little Light of Mine”, and more – all blended with new holiday favorites.

"Celebrate... While We Wait" is an event which helps us prepare our hearts and church for the coming of the Christ child. The afternoon offers a variety of ways to respond to the story of Jesus' birth through music, making cards, decorating the atrium Christmas tree, frosting cookies, and much more! Don't miss this year's Jr. Choir Christmas musical, "Angels in Training" by Ryan & Tracy Hunt.

Ozark Scandinavian Society of Springfield Missouri (OSSSM) will have its annual Julfest at Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Republic Road across from the YMCA at 5:00 pm on December 7th. There will be a smorgasbord and a Christmas tree decorated by attendees with flags from their ancestral country. There will be musical entertainment with a Scandinavian influence and near the conclusion there is a St. Lucia procession with the younger attendees.
