The Convention & Visitors Bureau has been selected to sell advertising at the Springfield-Branson National Airport.

The CVB already sells advertising at its visitor’s center in the airport terminal. It will now sell advertising on video screens and freestanding displays. As a nonprofit marketing organization, the mission of the CVB is to grow the local economy through growth in the travel and tourism industry.

“It’s great to have the CVB representing the airport to potential advertisers,” says Brian Weiler, the airport’s director of aviation. “Approximately 1.5 million people visit the airport’s passenger terminal every year. With an audience that big, we wanted to make sure that a respected, well known organization represents us.”

"We're excited to be working with the airport and look forward to helping promote local businesses to travelers," says Laura Whisler, CVB marketing director.

To kick off the new advertising program the CVB will have its Travel Connections mixer on Thursday, February 2, from 5-7 p.m., near the baggage claim area in the airport terminal.

Guests are asked to RSVP by calling 881-5300, or by emailing cvb@springfieldmo.org.  Free parking will be available in the employee parking lot on the east side of the terminal.
