Certified Autism Center BadgeThe Convention & Visitors Bureau invites you to join us via Zoom to learn how you can help make Springfield the first Certified Autism Destination in Missouri.

Meredith Tekin, president of the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards, will explain the certification process and how certification can help your business make people on the autism spectrum feel welcome in Springfield.

Millions of adults and children are on the autism spectrum, and 32 million trips are taken annually by travelers with special needs. That’s one reason the Springfield CVB became the first destination marketing organization in Missouri to earn Certified Autism Center certification and is now encouraging certification among businesses that serve autistic travelers and their companions.

The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards issues certification to organizations where staff complete training to understand better, assist and welcome people on the autism spectrum.

Learn more about the benefits of certification here and join us at one of the meetings to learn even more! Please RSVP here to let us know which meeting you’re attending.
