The 2012 Official Missouri Travel Guide is hot off the presses and ready for travelers to use and enjoy, which means the Missouri Division of Tourism (MDT) has begun planning the 2013 edition.

Although work on the 2013 Travel Guide is in the early stages, MDT needs YOUR HELP to ensure the finished product continues to be a useful resource for travelers.

Qualified tourism-related businesses in Missouri may submit their information for FREE inclusion in the 2013 Official Missouri Travel Guide. The deadline for submissions is June 1, 2012.

If you have an existing listing on VisitMO.com, you’ll simply need to log on to the Industry Portal, www.Industry.VisitMO.com, enter your username and password, and update both your VisitMO.com listing and the information that will appear in the Travel Guide.

Remember, not all businesses listed on VisitMO.com are eligible to have a free listing in the Travel Guide. Please consult MDT’s Listing Criteria to determine eligibility.

If you have trouble remembering how the process works, or you’re submitting Travel Guide information for the first time, the Industry Portal site has submission instructions for both new and returning users. If you have misplaced that pesky username and password, or need a little technical assistance, email Stephen.Foutes@ded.mo.gov, or call 573-751-3208.

Listings that have been on VisitMO.com in the past but have not been updated for 18 months may be removed from the system, without notice; therefore, they will not be included in the printed Travel Guide. So be sure your listing is online and up-to-date.

If your business qualifies to have a free listing in the Missouri Travel Guide and you’d like to upgrade to a display ad, expanded or highlighted listing, sales associates from our publishing partner, Madden Media, will be contacting you between March and August 2012 regarding those opportunities. Chambers, CVBs and other tourism organizations will be able to purchase region-specific listings in the Travel Guide as they did in the 2012 edition.

Again, if you have any questions about the Official Missouri Travel Guide, need help updating your listing, or need to start from scratch, send an email to Stephen.Foutes@ded.mo.gov. Your participation and cooperation are appreciated.
