Meet Josh Inmon: The Associate Director of Juanita K. Hammons Hall in Springfield, Missouri.
“I was born and raised in Springfield, and the arts community is what has kept me here,” said Inmon. Inmon never expected to spend his entire life in Springfield, but after getting involved with Springfield Little Theatre and the local arts community, he knew he wasn't leaving anytime soon.
“In college, I started at Juanita K. Hammons Hall as a Missouri State employee and just never left. I'm grateful for the arts and what they do for our community.”
Check out Josh’s perfect Saturday in Springfield, Missouri.
Breakfast Place Gailey’s Breakfast Cafe
Inmon starts his Saturday morning at Gailey's Breakfast Cafe. “Anytime I have an early morning meeting, it's always going to be Gailey's.” He loves its downtown location, and his go-to order is the 2 Egg Downtowner Special with a side of sourdough toast.

Vintage Peddler
After breakfast, Inmon heads a couple of blocks over to Vintage Peddler on East Trafficway. “It's one of the best antique shops in town. They always have new stuff, so I go to see what's new and if there's anything I can add to my house.”

Galloway Creek Trail

Inmon tries to get a walk or jog in every day, and his favorite spot is the Galloway Creek Greenway Trail near Sequiota Park. “It's a nice escape. I'll walk and listen to a podcast. For a while, the rest of the world goes away.”
Lunch at Nearly Famous Deli
Lunch is at local favorite Nearly Famous Deli. “I love that it's local, there's a good variety, and there's always something new.” His go-to order is the tuna salad sandwich. “You can't go wrong with that.”

See a show

A perfect Saturday in Springfield isn't complete without seeing a concert or performance. If Broadway is in season or the Springfield Symphony Orchestra is performing at Juanita K. Hammons Hall, that's where you'll find Inmon. Otherwise, he's likely taking in a show at Springfield Little Theatre.
Theatre has always held a special place in his life.
“The first show I ever saw was My Fair Lady when I was a kid. And Beautiful: The Carole King Musical was the first show to return to Juanita K. after the pandemic. Those two will always have a special place.”

Dinner at Gilardi’s
“Gilardi's is an experience,” said Inmon. “It's in an old house, and the food is incredible. James Martin, the owner and chef, always comes out and loves to tell you about your meal and how everything is grown locally. It's a full experience you don't want to miss.”

Dessert from St. Michael's
While St. Michael's in downtown Springfield isn't open late, Inmon makes sure to grab a slice of cake to go before heading home to end the perfect Saturday.
