Five members of Missouri Women Bloggers were in Springfield Jan. 22-24 for a press tour resulting in stories about the city as a travel destination.

The bloggers experienced a variety of activities including Springfield Hot Glass Studio, Askinosie Chocolate, Fantastic Caverns, the Springfield Art Museum and others.

A special thank you to Missy Handyside, general manager of the Ramada Plaza Hotel and Oasis Convention Center for hosting the bloggers’ lodging and dinner at Fire & Ice, to Beverly and Matt Robb at Relics Antique Mall and Tea Room for hosting lunch and to Rebekah Santiago at Creative Escape Glass for providing instruction and supplies to make sun catchers.

The bloggers had a great time and some have already posted stories with more to come. Here’s what we’ve seen so far:

Stefany Thode, author of To Be Thode, and Alicia Myers, author of The Sensible Family, also participated in the press tour and we’ll be seeing stories about Springfield from them soon.
