The Springfield Sports Commission had another successful BigShots Challenge.

It was a rainy day for the second annual event that took place on April 13, but the clouds cleared and weather perfect during gameplay.

The BigShots Challenge was, once again, presented by Sporting KC who came down with fun Sporting KC swag and prizes for the attendees. The event had a great turnout with attendees filling 22 bays with teams of all skill levels.

The main challenge at the event was a scramble and the winners were La Quinta Inn & Suites South. There were also three challenge holes; a long drive challenge won by Tim Schaad, a knockout challenge won by BJ Norman and a pinball challenge won by Mark Snow.

Sponsors for the event include Sporting KC, the Springfield-Greene County Park Board, Rick's Automotive, Battlefield Mall, Evangel University, Sporting Springfield, Betty & Bobby Allison Sportstown, Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Medical District, Great Southern Bank, Guaranty Bank, Southwest MO Rush, and Brokate Janitorial. Evangel University was the putting course sponsor, but unfortunately, the rain kept players off the course. It was replaced with cornhole for those interested in winning some great Evangel gear.

Overall, everyone had a great time and the Sports Commission raised money to help bring exceptional sporting events to Springfield.
