It’s game day in Bear Country! As fans make their way to Plaster Stadium to cheer on the Missouri State Bears, finding the right parking spot can be just as important as grabbing your favorite game-day snack. Whether you want to be steps from the action or don’t mind a short walk from downtown, here’s your guide to scoring the best parking for MSU football games.

On-Campus Parking

Missouri State University offers designated game-day parking lots near Plaster Stadium. These lots often require a permit or pass, especially for season ticket holders or donors, so be sure to check in advance. Arrive early for the best spots, as lots close to the stadium can fill quickly.

Visitor Parking/Parking Meters: There are several available parking meters and lots near the Davis-Harrington Welcome Center, MSU Parking Lot #1, MSU Parking Lot #2, MSU Parking Lot #4, MSU Parking Lot #7, MSU Parking Lot #11, MSU Parking Lot #12, MSU Parking Lot #14, MSU Parking Lot #16, MSU Parking Lot #19, MSU Parking Lot #22, MSU Parking Lot #25.

Weekend Parking

Weekend visitors may park at no cost in reserved, commuter, and residence hall lots on Saturdays and Sundays, unless otherwise posted. Daytime Parking Permits can be obtained through the Parking Portal, while Evening and Overnight Permits may be requested in advance by emailing parking@missouristate.edu, Monday through Friday.

Street Parking in Downtown Springfield

Metered and free street parking can often be found in downtown Springfield, particularly on weekends. Keep in mind that spots may be limited on game days, so give yourself extra time to circle the area and walk to campus.

One of the perks of parking downtown is the opportunity to experience Springfield’s local dining and entertainment before or after the game. Many fans make a day of it, grabbing brunch, dinner, or drinks at one of the restaurants and bars near Park Central Square before heading to Plaster Stadium.
