The CVB staff extends congratulations to our peers at City Hall!

The City's Public Information Office and Planning staff brought home nine awards from the 35th annual American Advertising Federation of the Ozarks Addy Awards, which were held March 1 at the Knights of Columbus Diamond Room.

  • Multimedia Coordinator/Senior Graphic Designer Mark Montgomery won three Gold Addys and two Silver Addy for his Birthplace of Route 66 billboard and logo designs, his illustration for the 4th annual Springfield Jazz Festival poster, his portrait of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. used in last summer's MLK event materials, and the Scenic Route cartoon series for The Scene employee newsletter.

  • (Retired) Production Manager Vince Crunk, senior video producers David Cron and Jared Willard, Video Producer Jeff Gilmore and Administrative Assistant Sharon Spain won a Gold Addy for the Red's Giant Hamburg video they produced for the Route 66 campaign. Click here to view the video.

  • Director of Public Information & Civic Engagement Cora Scott, Crunk, Willard, Gilmore, Sharon Spain, Lisa Cox and Kristen Milam won a Gold Addy for the "Will You Help?" domestic violence public service announcement. Click here to view the video.

  • Scott, Montgomery, Graphic Designer Wanda Young (Planning), Milam, Spain, Assistant Director of Public Information & Civic Engagement Melissa Haase, Web Coordinator Christopher Akins, Cron, Crunk, Willard and Gilmore won a Silver Addy for the Birthplace of Route 66 campaign.

  • Scott, Crunk, Willard, Gilmore, Spain, Cox and Milam won a Silver Addy for  cinematography of the "Will You Help?" PSA.
