The Sales Department staff at the Convention & Visitors Bureau attends multiple trade shows and events to network with meeting planners and talk with them about bringing events to Springfield and for educational opportunities. Recently and in the next few weeks, staff attended or will attend the following to showcase Springfield's amenities.

- Christian Meetings & Conventions Assoc.
- Southeast Tourism Society Domestic Showcase
- Missouri Music Educators Assoc. Convention
- Event Services Professionals Assoc. Annual Conference
The department also is planning for Global Meetings Industry Day on April 7 and a convention planners' familiarization tour of Springfield in May.
