It takes a while for lodging statistics to trickle in from Springfield’s hotels but we’re sure the end-of-year numbers will be worth the wait. That’s because 2015 is going to be a record year thanks to a strong economy and lower gas prices resulting in lots of people visiting the city.

As we gaze into our crystal ball, we’re predicting 2016 will be a good year, too. That doesn’t mean, however, the Convention & Visitors Bureau will slow down on its marketing efforts. The bureau, in fact, has big plans for marketing the city in 2016 and we’re looking forward to promoting the city - and local businesses - to visitors.1 supply 2 supply
