As the year winds to a close, it’s good to see lots of people have visited Springfield this year.
October, in fact, was the best October ever in room demand and the eighth best month ever in room demand. It also had the second highest average daily rate on record and third highest sales on record.
Tracy Kimberlin, president/CEO of the Convention & Visitors Bureau says 2015 will easily be a record year in room demand, ADR and room sales.
Not only is that good news for the city’s lodging industry, it’s good news for everyone who lives in Springfield. Visitors spend money at retailers, restaurants and attractions and that generates tax revenues help support the city’s services and infrastructure.
