The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is partnering with Community Partnership of the Ozarks and Community Foundation of the Ozarks to launch Greene for Vaccine, an incentive program to offer a chance to win $1,000 to those who get vaccinated.

This joint effort aims to motivate the 57% of Greene County residents who are not fully vaccinated to take this necessary step to protect the community.

“CPO is proud to be a part of this important partnership,” stated Janet Dankert, president and CEO of CPO. “Increasing vaccination rates in our community is key to saving lives and ending the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The $5,000 in prize money is a part of a $20,000 donation from CFO to promote and incentivize vaccines.

“Our mission is to improve the quality of life for everyone in our region, and health is a crucial part of that,” said Brian Fogle, president and CEO of the CFO. “We believe encouraging others to vaccinate against COVID-19 reflects that mission and protects our community.”

Greene for Vaccine will run from Aug 15 through Sept 18. Those who receive the first dose of Pfizer/Moderna or the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be automatically entered into a drawing following the end of the week they were vaccinated. The winner will be announced the following Monday:
