The CVB sales department strives to bring a variety of group events to the city and recently booked the Missouri State Women's Bowling Championships for March-April 2014 and National Christian Homeschool Soccer Championship for October 2013.

In an effort to bring even more groups to the city, staff will represent Springfield in September at the Missouri Society of Association Executives Funfest Golf Tournament and Annual Membership meeting in Jefferson City, and S.P.O.R.T.S. Conference in Daytona Beach.
