Southwest Missouri is home to many local flower farms, perfect for picking your own bouquet. Check out the farms below throughout the year to pick a variety of blooms yourself.

Gooseberry Bridge Farm

Wildflowers grow in groves at Gooseberry Bridge Farm. Depending on the week or month you visit, there are various flower types, such as sunflowers, zinnias, cosmos, celosia and more. 

Spring flowers are sold by the stem count, a dozen tulips are $20 or 18 narcissus for $20. During the summer, flowers are $25 per container (containers are provided) and can fit 50-80 stems. Hours and you-pick times are posted on the farm’s Facebook page

Patchwork Flower Farm

If you want a surprise variety of flowers, Patchwork Flower Farm will give it to you. Owner Gaylene offers you-pick flowers from a patchwork garden. You-pick bouquets are $25. If you’d like to visit the farm or take a tour, farm visits are by appointment only. You can make an appointment and see what flowers are in season with the contact info on their Facebook page.

Season: Early spring and July–September

Pa’s Posey Patch

Pa’s Posey Patch offers you-pick flowers for people to make their own arrangements and provides families and professional photographers a beautiful landscape for capturing those special moments. The flowers produced for photo venues include daffodils, mustard, crimson clover, poppies, wildflower meadows, zinnias, cornflowers, cosmos, acres of sunflowers and small grains. 

The farm does not charge for you-pick flowers but do accept voluntary donations to offset expenses. Please contact Pa’s Posey Patch on their Facebook page before arriving.

Gardener’s Orchard

Not just an apple orchard, Gardener’s offers you-pick tulips and zinnias during April. Admission to the flower field is $10, and the price of tulips are $2 per stem or $30 for all you can pick. Take a look around inside the farm store for freshly baked goodies and farm-grown produce to take home. Come back during the summer for you-pick strawberries and apple picking in the fall. Black & Blueberry Farm

Black & Blueberry Farm opens its gates for you-pick lavender in June and July. Scissors for the lavender are provided and lavender is priced by the bundle, which is between 75-125 stems. Head across the field for you-pick blueberries in July or inside the big barn for homemade blueberry snacks like ice cream, muffins, and lavender lemonade. Hours and you-pick times are posted on the farm’s Facebook page

The Hilltop Farm

At The Hilltop Farm you can wander through 300 feet of gorgeous flower beds with more than 25 varieties of flowers. For $20 you can fill up your cup with a variety of blooms. Take your time, find your favorites and take a hand-cut bouquet back home. You can also purchase hand-crafted goat’s milk soap or fresh farm eggs. Fassnight Creek Farm

Head to this urban farm in the middle of Springfield to pick your own sunflowers, zinnias, celosia and other surprise flower varieties this year! Cutters and containers are not provided so you will need to bring them with you. Head inside the farm stand for local produce, pre-picked flower arrangements and other goodies. Country Roads Family Fun Farm

If you love fresh-cut sunflowers, head to Country Roads Family Fun Farm. If you feel like taking some sunshine home with you, you-pick sunflowers are $2 each and sheers are provided. You can bring a vase from home or purchase one. Vases start at $5 each. For an in-depth sunflower experience, get tickets to their sunflower brunch, where you can enjoy a home-cooked breakfast in the field.
