The Ramada Plaza Hotel & Oasis Convention Center was recently recognized as the Property of the Year for Ramada Worldwide North America.

The award was presented to General Manager Missy Handyside during the Wyndham Worldwide Global Conference in Las Vegas in March.

Handyside stated that being selected as the #1 property out of over 500 hotels in North America is such an honor not only for the hotel but for the city and state.

“The midwest is known for providing exceptional hospitality to our visitors and I am thrilled that our owner and staff’s dedication to our guests is recognized as leaders of the industry,” Handyside said.

The criteria for the Property of the Year award included quality assurance scores, revenue growth, guest service scores and engagement with the Wyndham Worldwide Franchise.

“2014 was a record-breaking year for the Ramada Plaza in both number of guests and revenue,” Handyside said. “We are very optimistic that 2015 will have a very similar finish.”

The Ramada Plaza Hotel & Oasis Convention Center was a Best of the Best property for Ramada Worldwide in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Last year the hotel was presented with a Missouri State Resolution and was recognized for outstanding service in the hospitality industry from State Representative Sonya Murray Anderson.
