The registration deadline is Feb. 7 for the 2020 Capitol Day for Tourism event set for Feb. 19 in Jefferson City.
Participants will be assigned to teams of two or three people who will be provided with informative fliers focusing on extending the sunset for the tourism funding formula and highlighting tourism's impact and importance.
Orientation will take place at 9 a.m. in Room 139 in the Missouri Secretary of State's Office, 600 West Main St., in Jefferson City. Capitol visits will take place from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. followed by a debriefing session at 3 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to bring pop-up displays to place on the third floor rotunda at the capitol building.
A block of rooms is reserved at Capitol Plaza Hotel & Convention Center at a rate of $94 plus taxes and fees. The room rate is good for Feb. 18 and 19.
