The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially welcome Andy B’s Entertainment Center – the first entertainment center of its kind in the area.
The Ribbon Cutting will take place at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 7, in front of the 36-foot B at Andy B’s, 1127 E. Battlefield Road.
The ribbon, like the center, will be something out of the ordinary. Constructed out of dozens of Battlefield Lanes’ T-Shirts, the custom ribbon will signify the transformation from the former bowling alley to the new luxury entertainment center.
Battlefield Lanes had been in operation since 1971, becoming a mainstay for both league bowlers and recreational bowlers. Today, the fully transformed 50,000-square-foot Andy B’s offers private party suites, virtual karaoke and a unique laser tag experience downstairs while a large redemption game room, traditional bowling, VIB luxury bowling and full service restaurant operate upstairs.
Following the ribbon cutting, Andy B’s will be offering a buffet sampling of some of their menu items, along with complimentary bowling, games and laser tag for all ceremony attendees.
Andy B’s is one of dozens of Springfield attractions that partner with the Convention & Visitors Bureau to promote their business to visitors. Check out their website listing on the bureau’s site at www.springfieldmo.org/things-to-do/718/andy-b-s.
