Spring Brings Many Groups to Springfield

The Convention & Visitors Bureau Sales Department strives to bring a variety of groups and events to the city.

Groups recently booked by the department include:

National Fishing Lure Collectors Club, July 2015, 2,500 attendees, 1,450 room nights
Missouri Department of Social Services, February 2013, 300 attendees, 965 room nights
National Christian Homeschool Basketball Tip Off, October 2013, 800 attendees, 540 room nights

Coming up, CVB sales staff will represent Springfield at trade shows and other events in efforts to bring more group business to Springfield.

In April:

Sales manager Melissa Evans and a representative from the Ramada Oasis Hotel & Convention Center will represent Springfield at the KC MPI/PCMA Education Conference in Kansas City.
Sales department assistant Katie McBride will represent Springfield at the Missouri Bank Travel Exchange in St. Louis.
