The Springfield Hotel Lodging Association will have its first SHLA Housekeeping Olympics at 3 p.m. Aug. 25 at Lamplighter Inn & Suites, 2820 N. Glenstone Ave.
Contestants will participate in a bed making contest, upright vacuum relay, mop race, buffer pad toss, executive challenge and cheerleading.
Hotel staff are encouraged to compete and allied and associate members are invited to participate as a sponsor or judge.
Winners at the Springfield event will go head to head with winners from a Housekeeping Olympics event taking place Aug. 24 in Branson. Finals begin at 3 p.m. Aug. 26 at the Clarion Hotel, 2820 W. Missouri 76 in Branson.
Prizes and bragging rights will be awarded.
