Has the arrival of fall and cold weather got you down? It’s time to start planning the next round of vacation travel! To help make the planning easier, the Springfield-Branson National Airport is partnering with Great Southern Travel for the 11th annual Great Southern Travel Show.
The show is Saturday, November 5, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Specialists from top names in the travel industry will gather in the airport lobby to help customers with the vacation planning process. From hotels and airlines to cruise lines and resorts, options for every lifestyle and budget will be available. Admission is free and so is the parking.
Over $15,000 in door prizes and giveaways will be available throughout the travel show for those who attend, with the grand prize of a seven-night Hawaiian Getaway (courtesy of Classic Vacations) awarded for the best vacation photo entered that day. Second place in the photo contest wins a three-night stay, courtesy of Couples Resorts. Other prizes include: two round-trip airline tickets from American Airlines, two round-trip tickets from Delta, a three-night stay courtesy of AM Resorts, a three-night stay courtesy of Iberostar Resorts, and gift baskets from a variety of travel vendors.
“We’re excited to partner with Great Southern Travel for their travel show,” says Brian Weiler, the airport’s director of aviation. “Great Southern is a great travel partner for us as well as our flyers, and it’s a perfect fit for activities in the new terminal.”
The event will be family-friendly with soft drinks, snacks and activities, including face painting and sidewalk chalk art.
