The Convention & Visitors Bureau today honored three board members who are leaving the board this year.

  • Jerry Harmison, of Harmison and Pearson Law Firm, has served on the board the past year as the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce chair-elect.
  • Greg Horton, CEO at Integrity Home Care, served during 2010 as the appointee of chamber chair Tim Rosenbury.
  • John Ford, publisher of "Welcome to Springfield!" magazine, has served two three-year terms on the board since 2003, including two years as chair.

The CVB is grateful for their service to the bureau.

Replacing them on the board are Dr. Melissa Dallas, head of the Hospitality and Restaurant Administration Department at Missouri State; Meghan Chambers, owner of Staxx and Jelly Beans clothing stores, who is serving as the appointee of Harmison, now chair of the chamber board; and John Wilson, regional president of U.S. Bank, who will serve on the board as the Chamber of Commerce chair-elect.
