The press pass provided by the Convention & Visitors Bureau to media and bloggers who aren’t participating in an escorted press tour has grown by two.

Itty Bitty City and the Route 66 Car Museum recently were added to the pass that provides complimentary admission for up to two adults and two children visiting the city with the purpose of producing stories about things to see and do in and around Springfield.

Several other businesses also participate either by offering significant discounts and other offers to help media actively participate in what Springfield offers. They include:

  • Dickerson Park Zoo
  • Discovery Center
  • Fantastic Caverns
  • National Tiger Sanctuary
  • Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield
  • Andy B’s
  • Askinosie Chocolate
  • Creative Escape Glass
  • Gilardi’s Ristorante
  • Relics Antique Mall & Tea Room
  • The Trolley Bike

All media receiving press passes are vetted by the CVB and must meet certain criteria. In 2016, 16 press passes were distributed.

Participation in the press pass is free to CVB partners.
