After two years as a partner development manager at the Convention & Visitors Bureau, Ryan Allison has accepted a position with another company. His last day the CVB is Aug. 8. He will be sorely missed but we wish him well in his new endeavor.

With his departure, the CVB is restructuring its advertising sales positions and will replace Ryan with an advertising sales assistant whose primary responsibility include helping the sales team reach its revenue target for advertising sales.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • data entry of advertising sales contracts and billing information

  • phone, e-mail and in-person follow up with advertising clients

  • updating client history database

  • trafficking advertising sales materials (ie. display ads, ad copy, etc.) to ensure advertisers are properly represented

  • conducting advertiser benefit seminars

  • organizing sales promotional materials

The assistant will need to be familiar with an office environment gained through one to two years of administrative or sales experience. Qualified candidates will possess superior customer service skills, excellent telephone and email etiquette, strong PC/Microsoft Office Suite skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, strong oral and written communication skills and impeccable organization and attention to detail.
