The CVB's group sales department represents the city at a variety of trade shows targeting event and meeting planners.

Recent and upcoming events include the American Baptist Association Convention, the National Association of Sports Commissions and the Kansas City Chapter of Meeting Professionals International.

The bureau also is planning a familiarization tour for meeting planners May 30-31.
