The Convention & Visitors Bureau Sales Department strives to bring a variety of groups and events to the city.
Groups booked recently by the department include:
- 82nd Airborne Division Association, August 2014, 1,060 room nights
- National Christian Homeschool Fall Nationals, October 2013, 560 room nights
Coming up, CVB sales staff will represent Springfield at trade shows and other events in efforts to bring more group business to Springfield.
In March:
- Sales director Dana Maugans represents the city at Destination Showcase in Washington, DC.
- Sales manager Melissa Evans represents the city at the KC MIC Education Conference and Trade Show in Kansas City.
- Sales manager Lisa Perez represents the city at the Missouri Society of Association Executives membership meeting and workshop in Jefferson City. She also will serve on a panel discussion about working with a CVB.
