Congratulations to Susan Wade who recently reached her 20th anniversary of working at the Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Wade began working as public relations manager for the bureau after a stint as a reporter at "The News-Leader."

In her 20 years at the CVB, she has helped generate hundreds of stories about the city as a travel destination. Her achievements include working with "The Today Show," "The Early Show," "Southern Living," the "New York Times" and many other media outlets and freelance writers.

Wade said a lot of things have changed at the CVB and in Springfield since she began working to promote the city as a travel destination but one thing has remained the same.

"This was my dream job 20 years ago," she said. "It's my dream job today."
