Three Springfield hotels are participating in April Food Day, an event to promote awareness of food pantries.
Walker Hospitality Group is organizing the event and three of the company’s Springfield hotels are collecting nonperishable food, hygiene supplies and paper products. (No glass, please.)
Monetary donations also will be accepted. Every dollar donated provides four meals to help those in need.
The collection ends April 17 when all proceeds will go to The Kitchen.
The collection locations are:
- La Quinta Inn & Suites, 2445 N. Airport Plaza Ave.
- Days Inn, 621 W. Sunshine St.
- La Quinta Inn-South, 2535 S. Campbell Ave.
