Fall flavors have arrived in the Ozarks! As the weather starts to cool off, and the sun sets a bit sooner, local restaurants are releasing their fall menu items, and we're here for it. From new coffee choices, desserts, and even some classic fill your belly savory dishes. Let's explore just a handful of locations and what they’ll be offering! 

El Cafecito

El Cafecito is well known in Springfield for having great Latin cuisine and great coffee. When they drop a fall menu, you know it’s going to be good! The fall coffee menu has five beverages that will have you reaching for those cozy sweaters and scarfs. A pumpkin spice horchata made with Brazilian espresso, homemade pumpkin syrup, horchata and lechera, which is sweetened condensed milk. If you are an apple pie fan, make sure to try the Cajeta apple pie made with Brazilian espresso and Mexican caramel, apple flavoring and pie crumbles topped with oat milk.

Gardener’s Orchard & Bakery

Just a short trip north of Springfield, you can find yourself in an apple wonderland known as Gardener’s Orchard. Make your way to their fall festival happening throughout September and October to dig into the many tasty delicacies they are offering. You can pick up apple cider slushies, apple cider donuts and even a wonderful apple crisp sundae!

Finley Farms has always been known for celebrating fall in a big way. So, it was no surprise to see their new fall inspired drinks hit the menu at The Workshop. They have the s’mores latte, a creamy caramel cider, and the pumpkin butternut latte that I guarantee will make you ready for sweater weather.

Lindsay Kirtlan has made a name for herself with the amount of effort her and the staff of Lindsay’s Kitchen puts into their menu each day. From freshly brewed coffee, using locally sourced coffee in the 417, to baking homemade bread, bagels and donuts. They have been vigorously working on a new fall menu that is going to be filled with the likes of fire roasted apple danishes and maple pecan cookies for the sweet’s lovers. There are also new savory items as well, like the harvest salad with greens, fire roasted apples, cranberries, feta cheese, pecans, and chicken. Along with a soup of the day, and a hearty chicken pot pie, be ready for some real good eats this fall.

Saturday mornings used to be meant for sleeping in and relaxing after a long week, but now Saturdays are for getting to the Farmers Market of the Ozarks so that you can get the latest donut from Dough Bar. Dough Bar is famously known for the wide variety of sweet and savory donuts they offer every weekend, and they are bringing the one two punch with fall flavors. Liz will be offering apple pie donuts made with honey crisp apples, as well as pumpkin cheesecake donuts this fall. Watch their social media to see when you can line up to get your hands on these tasty morsels.
