Nixa, Missouri is only 12 miles from Springfield, Missouri. If you're planning a day trip, here are 5 things you can do in the city.

14 Mill Market

Going out for a quick lunch or dinner but can’t decide what to eat? Dubbed southwest Missouri’s “first Food Hall,” 14 Mill Market offers choices from deli sandwiches and acai bowls to soul food and waffles, with pizza, tacos and dessert, too. Dine inside near a full-service bar or find a table outside, where a bocce ball court welcomes players.

Piccolo Restaurant in Nixa

Boasting the largest selection of wines poured in the area code—including six Italian wines and more than 20 wines offered on tap—D’Arpino’s Piccolo Contemporary Italian Restaurant is also known for owner Steve D’Arpino’s homemade pasta sauce, served along with Italian noodles. Reservations for evening dining are recommended.

For some nostalgia and a great seed collection, head to Nixa Hardware & Seed. This garden and farm store has been in the Nixa community for more than 124 years, and boasts 7 acres dedicated to everything your garden needs.

4 by 4 Brewing

Local brewery 4 By 4 Brewing Company opened its second location in Nixa, and the new digs include 22 taps and a spacious beer garden with outdoor games.
