Jamaican Patty Co.For many years, one of Springfield's staple spots for Jamaican cuisine, Jamaican Patty Co., has made a name for itself on those delicious, savory patties. Each Jamaican patty is a flaky, handheld pie filled with flavorful meats, cheeses, and veggies. They also have great oxtail, BBQ jerk chicken, and Jamaican-inspired pasta dishes. Check them out at both locations in Springfield!

Hibiscus Jerk Hut

Hibiscus Jerk HutWe all know that food trucks can bring the heat when creating delicious dishes. Hibiscus Jerk Hut has quite the reputation for serving great food out of their well-known food trailer on the north side of Springfield. The jerk chicken is smothered in their delicious jerk sauce and topped with green onions, making it so tender that it falls off the bone! They also serve great sandwiches, like a Jerk pulled pork sandwich or even a Jerk burger. Pick up one of the sampler dishes with jerk chicken, ox tail, and Cajun shrimp!

Jahmerican CuisineThe newest brick-and-mortar in the 417 serving Jamaican cuisine is in Nixa, Missouri. Jahmerican Cuisine has a menu filled with a wide variety of classic Jamaican dishes, along with other items they have put a Jamaican spin on. On their seafood menu, they serve curry shrimp and fried snapper, curry goat, pineapple chickpea wrap, and even Jamaican tri-tip! They also have a great cocktail menu, so you can sip on something tasty while you enjoy some great food!

Back A Yaad Grill

Venture south of Springfield into the heart of Branson, and you will find Back A Yaad Grill whipping up some Jamaican classics you will love! Order some of their curry goat or oxtail with a side of fried plantains or rice and peas for the ultimate comfort food! Maybe you are in the mood for Brown fish stew made with snapper or even chicken soup, because they have them both! Check them out next time you’re in Branson.
