Congratulations to Dan Reiter, the new vice president and general manager for the Springfield Cardinals and farewell to Matt Gifford who has served in the position since 2004.

Reiter began working for the organization prior to its inaugural season in 2005 and moved his way up to his most recent position as vice president of sales and marketing. Gifford is going to St. Louis where he will serve as vice president of stadium operations.

Reiter currently serves on the CVB board of directors and Gifford has also served on the board, including two terms as chair. Gifford also was chair of the Springfield Sports Commission. The board will appoint someone to fill his position and elect a new president.
