Numbers compiled by the Convention & Visitors Bureau are comparing well to 2015, especially considering records were broken last year.

Traffic at the bureau’s tourist information centers is up, along with website user sessions. Although inquiries are down compared to last year, they are expected to spike now that the 2016 advertising campaign designed to encourage travel to Springfield is underway.
