For many CVB staff members, Shelly Grauberger is hands down the favorite, especially first thing in the morning. Not only is she a dependable hard worker, she’s one of the first to arrive in the office and she makes the coffee. Bless her!

Shelly, marketing coordinator for the CVB, began working at the bureau part time in 2005. About a year later, she was hired full time and has been promoted more than once since.

A big part of Shelly’s job is coordinating the volunteer program, which includes scheduling volunteers to work at the airport visitor center, at hospitality tables and in the mailroom where they process packets for groups, conventions, and sports teams. She also processes leads received from publications and the bureau’s website into mailing labels to send visitor packets around the country and the world. She obtains bids for printing of collateral materials and collects ads and listings for publications.

When Shelly isn’t in the office, she enjoys traveling, especially cruises. Shopping, reading, cooking and movies are also favorite activities. But if you want to see her eyes really light up, ask Shelly about her grandchildren: Emma, 8; Noah, 6; Colette, 4; and Jaxon, 7 months. A native of Kansas City, Kan., Shelly has three adult children.
