SPRINGFIELD HOTELS REPORTING INCREASES IN AVERAGE DAILY RATE

For the first six months of 2023, Springfield hotels reported an increase of 4.7 percent in the average rate charged for renting rooms. The rate was $102.25 for January through June, compared to $97.70 for the same period in 2022.

About 6,400 hotel rooms are available in Springfield, and they generated $67,685,789 in revenue the first six months of the year. Hotels are a significant part of the $918 million in economic impact tourism has in Greene County annually.
