Kenzie Lamon Butterfly HouseFriends of the Garden is seeking volunteers for the 2022 Butterfly Festival set for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. June 18 at the Rosten Native Butterfly House.

Several volunteer opportunities are available at various times, including: 

  • Check-in – Assist in organizing volunteers as they arrive and relieve outgoing volunteers.
  • Butterfly House – Two volunteers are needed inside the house to perform docent duties and two volunteers to regulate the flow of guests at the entrance/exit of the Butterfly House.
  • Caterpillar Petting Zoo – The Caterpillar Petting Zoo will be set up north of the Butterfly House. Volunteers will educate visitors on caterpillars and proper caterpillar handling methods.
  • FOG Table – Patrons will often be engaging this table. Volunteers will sell FOG memberships, festival t-shirts, tickets for the raffle, and passport check-ins.
  • Master Gardeners Crafts - Crafts for younger and older children will be available. After all the crafts are gone, you could work as a floater in other festival areas!
  • Floaters/Crafts – This is a general volunteer slot that will help hand out crafts and assist in various spots.
  • Clean Up – Self-explanatory!
