The Springfield Sports Commission is coordinating the Team Ambassador Program for the Missouri State High School Activities Association State Basketball Championships in March. The commission needs 40 team hosts, who will be ambassadors for Springfield and, in the process, become involved in a great event.
Responsibilities for the program include:
- Greeting and meeting your assigned team at their hotel, practice facility and/or games
- Informing the team about Springfield and all of the wonderful things to do, places to go, where to eat etc.
- Help schedule the team's practice time with MSHSAA
- Sit on the bench with your assigned team during their games
This is a great opportunity to show off Springfield and allows participants to really become a part of the team.
The event runs over two weekends, March 8-10 and 15-17. This gives participants the chance to choose which weekend works best for them.
