DoubleTree by Hilton Springfield was awarded the Community CARE Award as a 2011 recipient of the Crystal Cookie Award presented to the Hotels that best exhibit our CARE culture to the local community, through outreach efforts both as a hotel and individual Team Member efforts.

This year, 302 DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels from across the world applied for the Crystal Cookie Award, and DoubleTree by Hilton Springfield was one of 10 DoubleTree by Hilton to receive the award.

The award was formally presented to the DoubleTree by Hilton Springfield during the Monthly CARE Meeting held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Springfield May 2.

DoubleTree by Hilton Springfield earned the Crystal Cookie Award for exhibiting its CARE culture by conducting several local community outreach efforts, including organizing a Teaching Kids to Care event, where team members held an auction of painted animals by students, raising $3,000, with all proceeds going to the Springfield Human Society.  The DoubleTree by Hilton Springfield team members also conducted a donation drive for Isabels House, raising over $900 to benefit the organization, which cares for children with parents who are in a crisis or stressful situation.

“We applaud the staff and leadership of DoubleTree by Hilton Springfield for demonstrating national distinction in their quest for local community excellence,” stated Lee Hambrick, Regional Director for Brand Performance for DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels. “Being judged to be worthy of a Crystal Cookie Award demonstrates a commitment to a rigorous journey of continuous improvement and a good level of sustainable performance.”
