Soon we’ll have year-end numbers but there’s something we can tell you even before the numbers are final: In every category tracked by the CVB, the numbers are up and we’ll end the year with record-breaking statistics.

That’s good news for a variety of reasons but mostly because it means more travelers are boosting the local economy by spending money in Springfield. Hotels, retail establishments, attractions and restaurants in particular should have enjoyed a good year.
