SPRINGFIELD, MO - The St. Louis and Kansas City Chapters of the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) are bringing their three-day Show Me Regional judging event to the Springfield Expo Center, July 17–19, 2025. More than 80 meticulously preserved or restored Corvettes will be on display and judged for how closely they match factory-original specifications—some to be displayed as the best of the best. There will also be beautiful examples of vintage race cars, customs, and the hot new 2025 Corvettes.

The Chevrolet Corvette, “America’s Sports Car,” was first introduced in 1953. Model years 1954 through 1981 were produced exclusively in St. Louis. Then, in June 1981, production moved to a new state-of-the-art facility in Bowling Green, KY. One month later, the last St. Louis-built Corvette rolled off the assembly line.

From its infancy, the Corvette captured the attention of American sports car enthusiasts. As early as the 1960s, Corvette clubs were popping up across the country. In 1974, seven enthusiasts created the National Corvette Restorers Society with a stated mission of “the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of early Corvettes and related materials as well as to encourage and publish studies and research pertaining to their history.”

Fifty-one years later, the NCRS has over 10,000 members in 46 Chapters across the United States, Australia, Canada, Europe, and New Zealand. The St. Louis and Kansas City Chapters have over 100 members each, and over the past 30 years have partnered to host more than a dozen regional events, as well two National Conventions in St. Charles, MO, and Overland Park, KS.

The NCRS is also the sole publisher of a comprehensive series of Corvette Technical Information Manual & Judging Guides for model years 1953 through 2007. These serve as the reference standard for preserving, restoring, and judging the originality of Corvettes, by both the NCRS and other organizations. NCRS judging is the most respected and recognized authority in the Corvette preservation and restoration hobby.

Beginning at noon on Thursday, July 17, we will judge the operational functions of the cars outside before they are moved into the Expo Center and staged on the judging floor for Friday and Saturday.

The public is invited to visit the Springfield Expo Center between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Friday, July 18, and Saturday, July 19, to experience these stunning Corvettes and observe the judging process. General admission for non-NCRS members is only $5.00, and children under 12 are admitted free.

Media access to the event—and to speakers discussing the NCRS, the event, and the judging process—will be available during setup, Operations Checks, and Performance Verifications between noon and 4:00 PM on Thursday July 17, and again during judging inside the Expo Center between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM on Friday, July 18, and Saturday, July 19.
