SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Free donuts, surprise deliveries and community recognition are coming to Springfield-area workplaces through a new partnership between Visit Springfield and St. George’s Donuts.
Beginning in June, community members will have the opportunity to nominate deserving Springfield-area businesses and organizations to receive a surprise donut delivery recognizing their contributions to the tourism community. Two winners will be selected each month by a Visit Springfield committee from public nominations submitted throughout the year.
Springfield welcomes an estimated 3 million visitors annually, generating more than $1 billion in economic impact and supporting nearly 20,000 jobs across the region. The program is designed to highlight the connection between tourism and the local businesses and employees who help create a welcoming experience for visitors.
“Springfield’s visitor economy is powered by the local businesses and community partners who help create memorable experiences every day,” said Andrea Copeland, Vice President of Marketing for Visit Springfield. “This partnership gives us a fun and meaningful way to recognize those businesses while highlighting the important role tourism plays in our community.”
Each selected business will receive the surprise St. George’s Donut delivery from Visit Springfield team members. Celebrations will be shared through short-form video and social media content across Visit Springfield’s “I Love Springfield” channels, springfieldmo.org, and stakeholder communications.
Visit Springfield and St. George’s Donuts are proud to partner on this initiative to celebrate local businesses and the people who help make the Springfield area a welcoming place to live and visit.
