After being closed for several weeks to help prevent the spread of the COVID virus, the Springfield Route 66 Tourist Information Center, 815 E. St. Louis St., is reopening April 1. 

The center, operated by the Convention & Visitors Bureau, is taking extra precautions for the safety of patrons including the following.Route 66 Tourist Information Center

  • Frequent cleaning and disinfecting
  • Staff wearing masks
  • Hand sanitizer available for your use
  • Limiting occupancy
  • Offering curbside service
  • Restrooms closed

Per city ordinance, guests are asked to wear a face covering while in the visitor center. Masks are available for those who need them. Patrons are also asked to practice physical distancing during their visit. Everyone is welcome, but please consider if it's necessary for everyone in your party to come inside.

While the pandemic continues, hours will be 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
